Computing Day, April 4

David Bader

The keynote speaker for the third annual High Performance Computing Day will be Professor David Bader. Professor Bader is on the faculty of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the College of Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology.

He also serves as Georgia Tech’s Executive Director of High Performance Computing. Dr. Bader, who is a Lehigh graduate holding a B.S. in Computer Engineering (1990) and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering (1991), will be speaking on Petascale computing -- the largest type of parallel computing problems that scientists and researchers conduct today.

In addition to this keynote speech, there will be a morning set of tutorials, a buffet lunch, and afternoon sessions featuring faculty research presentations. There will be more details on the HPC website at http://www.lehigh.edu/computing/hpc and elsewhere, especially more detail about the morning topics and afternoon sessions.

All events for HPC Day 2008, April 4, 2008, will take place at Rauch Business Center. Please mark this special annual event on your calendar now.
